Working in Partnership:
This is the fourth Extra Care scheme being delivered by Lovell Later Living with Strategic Partner Places for People Living Plus, and Wooldridge View is the third Extra Care development that Lovell Later Living and Places for People Living Plus are working in partnership with Hampshire County Council to deliver. This scheme, along with Nightingale Lodge, Romsey and Spinnaker View, Gosport, will continue to address the need for well positioned, well designed accommodations which will meet the increasing demand of older population across the county.
The scheme design includes dementia friendly communal spaces and assistive technology throughout to help residents to live independently while being supported . With the natural coastline of Barton-on-Sea being a short journey away and while also nestled on the edge the New Forest, the busy, friendly town of New Milton is superbly located, which means that residents will be surrounded by local attractions to enjoy with family and friends. Additionally, both during construction and through the operation of the scheme, New Milton will benefit through the introduction of new homes and the creation of jobs in the local area.
We recognise how important this development is to the residents of Forest Pines and New Forest District Council. And although this has proved challenging, we knew it was important for all involved to invest in making this happen, because it was the right thing to do and will positively impact so many people’s lives for many decades to come. We look forward to completing this essential development for our partners alongside our sister company Morgan Sindall Construction and seeing residents move into their new homes and local people benefiting from the excellent lifestyle this community and its facilities – which will be open to all – will bring.”
