A specialised housing development in Leeds that will provide a new kind of care for older people in the city has officially opened its doors.
Amblers Orchard in Tingley is very different from traditional residential care for older people.
It has been designed to maximise independence, including for those with health conditions and who require on-going care, to ensure they remain part of the local community.
The housing development, created by Home Group, includes 63 one and two bedroom apartments, all available for affordable rent, as well as a 24/7 support team and a range of amenities open to the public, such as a new café and salon.
